CAI is in search of an S4 Hana Business Analyst for a client in the manufacturing industry. This is a 6+ month contract and 100% remote

The Business Analyst supports the Product Owner within the S/4 project, ensuring that a backlog of work exists throughout the project phases of build, testing, training, and deployment of new enterprise standard functionality for our core processes. The Business Analyst leverages their functional expertise and customer knowledge to

ensure the capability(s) is documented with user stories (or backlog of work) with clear acceptance criteria, and that these user stories are aligned with the vision and expectations of the end-to-end product. Additionally, Business Analysts supports the Product Owner by ensuring there is clear process documentation (process flows, business process design documents, standard operating procedures, and job aids) for their respective components of the global template. The role also ensures the documentation is translated and updated in subsequent process/system education and training content and supports the local super users to deliver this education and training content. The Business Analyst role is accountable for identifying key business scenarios

for testing and ensuring such scenarios are fully tested before the deployment of new functionality. The role works with the Data team to ensure that sufficient and complete data exists for such testing. Lastly, this role helps to define and ensure personas (or business role expectations) are clearly defined and documented and that subsequent security (system access/role definition) is established for the respective roles.

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Execute tactical deliverables for the overall S/4 Confirmation Phase design principles during the Agile Development Process

·       Contribute to the value creation for the sub-process design and impact

·       Represent the end user by ensuring key decisions are validated in the system and on occasion decisions are socialized among other project team members (at multiple levels of leadership) to mitigate risks and ensure cross-program tactical linkages

·       Enterprise knowledge of respective sub-process functions and policies across business units impacted by S/4 upgrades/changes.

·       Areas within the job scope are executed flawlessly to ensure rigorous system tool testing, training, and deployment in the associated business units without impacting business operations, financial reporting, and supply chain disruption

·       Subject Matter Expert driving the design and build of sub-process (within an End-to-End) capabilities and ongoing enhancements for a global template (enterprise standard)

·       Clearly define and document the set of user stories that represent the functionality of a feature (or broader capability)

within the global template

·       Ensure each user story has a corresponding acceptance criteria that ensures functionality will meet business requirements

·       Drive a back-log of work that ensures teams are continuously building both base or MVP functionality as well as on-going enhancements

·       Participate in all routine Agile ceremonies (daily scrum meetings, weekly data meetings/ART sync/workstream check-in, etc.) and elevate key performance, risks/issues, and decisions taken to the PO, Workstream Leadership, and PMO teams

·       Ensure high volume and standard scenarios are clearly defined and tested in all new or changed system configurations

·       Work with the data team to ensure data is available and established in time to support both unit and end-to-end testing

·       Ensure testing meetings business requirements/user story expectations

·       Champion of process and system documentation and education/training. Ensures business personas and subsequent security is established.

·       Ensure a complete and comprehensive set of sub-process/capability documentation exists including business process design documents, business process flows, standard operating procedures, and job aids

·       Coordinate with the OCM team to ensure complete and comprehensive training content is available for the respective capabilities/functionality

·       Enable the super-user network by coordinating the identification of end-users and ensuring these end-users are trained and ready to accept the new functionality

·       Maintain an expectation for the business role via the personas. Ensure personas clearly define what business roles are required to successfully function within the global template.

·       Ensure the subsequent system security is defined and configured to support the user adoption and operation.

·       Advocate of the Global Template and Process Sustainability

·       Drive adoption and acceptance of the global template process and system

·       Serve as the sub-process champion for Learning and development of an end-to-end global process

·       Drive continuous improvement and ongoing enhancements of both processes and system functionality. 

Qualifications: 

Required Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (Should be relevant to Sub-Process Area)

·       Minimum 1-2 years of progressive responsibility within the respective areas of expertise.
