Neurodiverse Solutions
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM 2022)
A strong workforce is a sum of many parts—disability being a key part of the equation.
This month we are recognizing the important role people with disabilities play in a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Did you know?
Multiple sources estimate that over 1 billion individuals identify as being neurodivergent. Unemployment for neurodivergent adults runs at least as high as 30-40% which is 3 times the rate for people with disability, and 8 times the rate for people without disability.1
Watch the LinkedIn Live event replay to learn from 3 CAI team leads as they discuss the value of an inclusive workforce based on their first-hand experiences working with neurodiverse teams.
What is neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity refers to the range of differences in individual brain functions and behavioral traits that is part of normal variation in the human population.
Examples of neurodiverse conditions:
- Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
