Julie Van Leunen
Chief Human Resources Officer
Julie Van Leunen serves as CAI’s Chief Human Resources Officer. She leads the company’s people strategy, focused on building a best-in-class HR organization that supports career growth, strengthens leadership pipeline, and ensures CAI has the talent and capabilities to deliver on our commitments to clients and communities. Her work enables talent and workforce strategies critical to the company’s growth. As a business-driven HR leader, Julie partners closely with the Executive Leadership Team to align people strategies with enterprise priorities and scale a high-performing, people-first culture.
Prior to joining CAI, Julie served as Senior Vice President of Talent and Workforce Strategy at ASRC Federal, where she led enterprise-wide transformation of talent operations, implementing data-driven hiring strategies and advancing leadership development. Previously, as Chief Human Resources Officer at Serco, she led the full HR portfolio for a $2B global organization with more than 9,000 employees, driving large-scale talent transformation initiatives to support business growth.
Julie earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Executive Leadership and her Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from James Madison University, and holds a Certificate in Management from the University of Oxford Saïd Business School. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Washington, D.C. March for Babies event in support of the March of Dimes. Julie lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and their two sons and enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time together as a family - most often on the soccer field.
